ROAD NARROWS (2019)

Originally designed as a physical book with an embedded circuit board containing the audio file, Road Narrows (2019) looks at the sides of highways in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois as places of transition. These places, which began as having no meaning to me, have become somewhere where I reflect on the process of leaving and returning that comes with living outside of your home state. These places have come to represent that in my countless trips back and forth from Columbus, OH and Chicago, IL, so the question arises: Are these spaces mine to fill with this meaning?
