About
This piece is a segment of a larger project in which large, confrontational black and white portraits of my loved ones from Columbus, Ohio are paired with handwritten text describing an early memory or the first time we met and then the memory of the night I said goodbye to move to Chicago.
The particular piece is of my mother, Carole. It was selected to be displayed in The School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s end of the year Freshman exhibit Art Bash, along with a book containing the other portraits and accompanying text.
